IICD is an independent non-profit organization, receiving no funding from government, religious, or political organizations. IICD is sustained by the grassroots fundraising efforts of the staff and participants and through program fees.
What the Fee Covers
The program fee, combined with fundraising efforts, covers food, lodging and transportation costs related to the program, as well as training costs, international travel, travel vaccinations (not standard US vaccinations) and international health insurance. Once accepted, an enrollment fee of $350 is due to hold a spot on a team. The enrollment fee is non-refundable. One half of the program fee is due one month before the start of each team.
