They believe all Asian people

Dear all my friends.
How are you dear my friends? I am in Gaza EPF in Mozambique 3hours far away from Maputo.

Already one month passed since I arrived here. How is it going in mountain?
How is the weather there? Here Gaza is hot so I am getting so dark!!!!!
And here there cows and pigs and goats and chickens and dogs and ducks and donkeys are everywhere.
Every morning I go to school with the cows. It is quiet an interesting experience.
I really like the food here. Especially the fish! And bread, too. Even though the bread is just white. Bread with coffee makes me so happy. But I miss junk food very much. Pizza!!! Burger!!!!
Last week we killed a chicken. It was my first time to see a chicken being killed. It was little bit creepy but taste was so good! So chewy!!!!!!
And here the sky is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!
I have never seen this beautiful a sky in my life. And there are so many stars!!! Every night millions of stars are shining. I am sure that you see more than you imagine.

They believe all Asian people can do some teakwando or judo or something. I guess they are used to watching it on movies from China.
So, when I show some teakwando, they really really really like it.!!!!!!!
Actually I know teakwando very very little. But even that they really like. So I think I have to try to learn from the internet or something to show more. : )
About my work.  I am going to primary school with the students from Gaza EPF on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning by bicycle. It takes 1 and a half hour to get to the primary school. It is quite tiring but also very good to join the students and to be with them. And going by bicycle in the nature is really awesome. My butt is burning because of the bad roads!!!

And I can watch how our students are teaching in primary school, and how the primary school is working.

And I started an English club.
Actually I am not perfect at English. But I thought that was something I could do not being a native Portuguese speaker.
And surprisingly many people wanted to join the English club. It's almost half of student here. And they were very happy to learn English. And when I asked why you want to learn English, they said for my future and I want to teach the children for the future of Mozambique.

Don't you think they are awesome?? I am so happy that I can teach them English.

And I will start some workshops from next week. Called "dream project" The thing I really wanted to do in Africa and the reason to join this program was this.
I think all people have to have their dream and have to know what they like, what they want to do. So I really want to help to get to know their dreams.
I hope many students can realize their dream and that they are all precious persons and there are lots of things you can do in this world. So, I am so excited to start. Yeah!
I will write later how my "dream project" is going. : )

And I want to write one more thing about Mozambique.
Many people ask me "are you married."? So I said. "no" but after this question everybody ask me "do you have childen?" all the time.
It was weird. Because I said that I wasn't married but why do they then ask me if I have a child?

So I asked about this, they said many people here have children without being married. And many students in Gaza EPF also have children. And their children are with their mom (grandmother). I think it could be their culture, but also it could cause big problems. Actually I couldn't look further into this situation. But I really want to know how many women have a child without a husband and what they think about this, and how their children are. And then, it will be nice to let them know how you should be protected.

Now, everything is new to me. So still it is hard to understand Portuguese.
But now I am learning step by step. And you know what?? I can talk with them.
I don't know how, but we can talk. Hahaha its so nice: )
I think, language is not a most important thing but if you can speak more it will be easier.

Lastly, I am very good. And miss you all you guys.
And I will write soon again.

Thanks,

Na young from Mozambique.
