The Amazon is incredible!

Incredible AMAZON

We woke up at 5:30 am, we organized our things and took a bus to Manaus center. The last week we lived in 2 places, Wynn, Ji, Elissa and Karinne stayed in one house and Risako, Jenny, Amber and I in another. So we met at the tour company at 8:00am.

We were there on time and started to Manaus Port by taxi. Our travel to the Amazonas was starting! We arrived to Manaus Port and we walked to the ship. In the Manaus Port area it is possible to get anything so we purchased all kinds of goods.

And then we rode on the boat to go to the other side of the river. On the way, we could see the meeting of the waters, where the inky black flow of the Rio Negro meets the brown waters of the River Solimoes. The other side of the river was totally different.

We rode a small boat on the small stream in the Amazon, and finally we arrived at our lodge. After lunch, we went to fish piranhas. Amber, Karinne were doing well, but Jenny and I didn't catch anything. Anyway, It was amazing!! We could even see pink dolphins living in the Amazon river.
And we came back to the lodge to go to bed. The first night in the Amazon rain forest was so hot for me, but, we were in the Amazon!!

Second day, we woke up at 5:30 am to sunrise. The sunrise was great!! The sun was vivid; and we started our travel to the middle of the jungle. On the way, we were swimming; the swimming on the Amazon River was so cool. And then we finally reached to the middle of the jungle. After lunch, we trekked through the jungle searching for ants, spiders, ect. and then we went to see a Cayman. In addition we caught a young Cayman. And everyone held the Cayman.

In our spot to sleep we had a lot of mosquitoes and lots of other bugs. We smoked out the mosquitoes. We were distressed with bugs. Anyway, we slept in hammocks under the stars, woke up in the morning to the boisterous noise of howling animals.

Third day, we trecked through the jungle again, and discovered a lot of huge spiders. After lunch, we arrived to the Indians of the Amazon community. We talked with them, saw a lot of animals, chickens, ducks, cows, monkeys. Then after dinner we went to the river, we sang together on the middle of river. A lot of dolphins came out to watch us! It was an amazing experience.

The last day in the Amazon: We went back to the lodge, got our luggage, then came back to Manaus.
After the travel of the Amazon, we are all in good health (just have a lot of bugs bites), we spent our team budget wisely, talked with many Indians of the Amazon in Portuguese, we learned about Indian Brazilians. And we are getting along well, sticking together through the travel.

The Amazon was an indescribable place, full of phenomenal encounters and a totally remarkable experiences.
